1. Introduction
Welcome to SoberStreak AI. These terms and conditions govern your use of the SoberStreak AI mobile application, our web app (available in your browser at soberstreak.ai/app), and our website, soberstreak.ai. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app or website.
2. What SoberStreak AI is (and isn't)
SoberStreak AI is designed for personal sobriety tracking, reflection, and motivation. It provides tools to help you stay accountable and mindful during your recovery journey.
Important: SoberStreak AI is not a medical device. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or addiction treatment. Always consult with a qualified healthcare provider for any medical concerns.
AI Companion. The app includes an AI Companion—an AI chat feature offering supportive, everyday conversation as part of your recovery. Its responses are generated automatically by artificial intelligence. It is not a person, and it is not a therapist, counsellor, doctor, sponsor, or crisis service.
3. No guarantee of outcomes
Every person's path to recovery is unique. SoberStreak AI cannot guarantee any specific outcome, length of sobriety, or improvement in your overall health or wellbeing. Success depends on many personal factors and commitment levels that are beyond the control of the application.
4. Your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for your own wellbeing, health decisions, and personal safety. We strongly encourage you to seek professional help from doctors, therapists, or addiction specialists as part of your support system.
Crisis Support: If you feel at risk of harming yourself or others, or if you are in any kind of emergency, please contact local emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately. In the UK, you can call Samaritans at 116 123 for confidential support 24/7.
The AI Companion is not professional or crisis care. Nothing the Companion says is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional help. If you are in crisis or immediate danger, do not rely on the Companion—contact your local emergency services or a crisis line (you can find one anywhere in the world at findahelpline.com).
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoberStreak AI will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the app or your inability to access it. This includes, but is not limited to, any health outcomes or loss of data.
We do not exclude or limit liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so under applicable legislation.
Because the AI Companion's responses are generated automatically, they may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not right for your situation. You use the AI Companion at your own discretion, and to the fullest extent permitted by law we do not accept liability for decisions made based on its responses.
6. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted on soberstreak.ai and within the app. Your continued use of SoberStreak AI after these changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction over any disputes, subject to mandatory consumer protection laws that may apply in your home country.
